The more facts you have from your real estate development research the more risk you control. I know this next part may sound provocative, but as youre a finance guy, you can handle hard talking. So here it is. If you and I were to go head to head developing the same product in P who would be the more successful? That means more profitable and finished earlier. Now you should know that is not my ego talking here; it is just that I have done the study, the research work and right now you have not. This is the difference between a Pro and anybody else. Right now in every city in the world there is someone doing what you want to do. That means that right now you have at least one competitor in the city in which you plan to develop. That must put him or her ahead of the game as far a you are concerned. How are you going to catch up. Well my Course is a great start and then: RESEARCH is your byword; and that should bring you closer to his or her current operating level in real estate development. You MUST MUST MUST not get into any business until the home work is done; and real estate development is a business. I am sure you know this already; BUT just in case you dont I feel that I should ram the point home. My course teaches you how to go about this work in detail. Last point: always remember you are not developing an apartment complex for YOU to buy. You are always developing a product for what the market wants to buy. By definition, that means that you must know what the market wants and expects in P in exact detail. None of what I have just written is revolutionary or new to you; in fact it is basic, but ask me how many people in the world do it? Now ask me how many people write to me after they have not done it and are in trouble. This business is easy when you know what to do, so please spend time learning and thinking. WOW ... is all I can say to how you responded to the workshop announcement. California, and LA in particular, is over 60 reserved already, with Atlanta, Chicago and Denver registrations growing every day. I have also received a stack of single registrations for one city, so maybe those will have to travel to a larger location. There is a limit of 40 people who can attend each workshop, so that we can get down to the individual level and not this 500 to a room type of seminar ... not my style. My emphasis is on the "teaching" rather than the numbers through the door. So if you're serious about real estate development it might be a good idea to book a seat. I don't know if I'll be doing this kind of tour again. I am the only developer who has ever written teachinbg courses on Commercial, Residential and Land Subduivision Development, so that should tell you how much information there is around ... on the web or in libraries. I've decided to do my first Real Estate Development "Workshop Tour" of Australia, the United States and Canada in 2008. The Brisbane workshop took place in September 2007 and was successful and as I received a very positive response from attendees I decided to do more. My Workshops Will be Different: Difference No. 1 There is a limit of 40 on the individual numbers who can attend each workshop as each will be very "hands on" with individuals questions, problems and even actual developments discussed if that is what attendees want. So my workshops will not be 500 packed into a room; I don't believe that is a real learning environment. Difference No. 2 No Media Advertising - The public are not interested in learning how to develop real estate; only specifice individuals are. I am only interested in those individuals - not "the crowd." Media advertising costs a packet and increases the costs of attending.
